The Redevelopment Authority would like the chance to show your business why Mingo County is the gateway to business in Appalachia.

Mingo County Redevelopment Authority is working on the diversification of the Mingo County economy from a one-industry county to a county focused on economic development, smart business growth, and increased average incomes.

            MINGO COUNTY

Mingo County is witnessing its economic rebirth with projects such as the King Coal Highway, Wood Products Industrial Park, and the Air Transportation Park. Mingo County has the opportunity to develop over 2,500 acres for commercial and residential development.

Construction of the 15 mile section of the King Coal Highway as a Post Mined Land Use project will create 1,500 acres of developable property and tremendous potential for diversification of Mingo County’s job market.
The Wood Products Industrial Park is situated on a reclaimed surface mine and represents the very best of environmental re-use. This site has 650 acres for industrial park development and currently houses Mohawk Inc., Coal Mac Inc., and Weatherford Fracturing Technologies.
